Eric J. Lanza grew up in Tacoma, WA and graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School. After his bachelor’s degree in economics from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Eric followed up at the University of Oregon School of Law where he received his JD with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law.
While in law school, Eric spent a summer as a research assistant for the Quaker United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, conducting research and writing papers on agricultural policy and food security in developing nations.
Before moving back to Olympia, Eric was active in the Pierce County Bar Association and a regular volunteer with the Housing Justice Project at Pierce County Volunteer Legal Services. Eric continues to volunteer with Thurston County Volunteer Legal Services in Olympia.
Eric’s primary area of practice is real property, including foreclosures and escrow services, estate planning, and probate. Eric also has a professional interest in intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and licensing agreements.
